The wait time for delivery was long, and extended; However, it was WORTH EVERY MINUTE. I replaced an old wall gas oven, and even now it's hard to believe how MODERN and nice the new built-in wall oven it is. One special feature: being able to broil in the same section as the baking; no bottom drawer. In fact, I have a new storage drawer where my old broiler section was. Another unbelievable feature: self-cleaning! At first the fan running now and then as I baked, or while broiling, seemed loud - but it soon changed and I hardly notice it...except that the oven and the broiler cool down almost instantly! The fan shuts off quickly when finished with its task - and the room remains cool - even in my 100o hot days. Bottom line: I love it!

This is an old house. There are only two brand name 24" gas ovens now available. The other brand has an electric broiler that requires 240v. The GE, with a gas broiler, is the ONLY brand name (there are off-brands) 24" gas oven that will work with 120v to the panel.
That said, I am ECSTATIC with the oven. It was very easy to install myself, even though my opening was larger than the new oven (okay, I grew up on a farm and was a car mechanic for part of my career - I fix anything). It works WONDERFULLY, both baking and broiling. Many user reviewers whined about the fan noise. The normal oxygen feed fan is not obnoxious, and while the fan for the control panel is definitely noticeable, I am perfectly happy to not have a fried control panel. And I've NEVER so far heard the panel fan come on unless the oven is over 350. Great appliance. Thank you so much for having it made.

Third time replacing the ignition in 3 years!

We bought this oven in 2016 because it was the only one to fit into the space. In 2019 the oven stopped working because the ignition/igniter stopped working. We had it serviced and fixed and then in 2020 the same thing happened and just last week yet again! This time the oven was out of warranty and so it cost us hundreds of dollars even though frankly, if the part constantly needs to be replaced, it's obviously a faulty part and not our fault! Why are these parts so unreliable? Before replacing our oven,we had the previous one (different brand) for 20 years without a problem! This is very disappointing. I thought GE would produce a better product and would stand by its parts.

So, I was annoyed that this oven failed after 5yrs and as per not long after the warranty expired. But, Wife wanted same model as she liked the product and after a 6 month wait it's installed. Here's hoping.

I had an earlier version of this oven for over 30 years and I chose this model to replace it. The part that failed on my old oven was the display panel and it was no longer available. I hope this one lasts as long!

Oven works well the ignitor went out after 3 years of minimal use. Was told this is typical of GE ovens. Over $150 to replace the part and get it installed.

The wall oven we had previously was a GE and lasted over 20 years. Prior to that we removed a GE electric oven replacing it with a gas one.
I have confidence in GE appliances and their service. The only reason I had to replace my last wall oven was due to grounding out the igniter damaging the control panel. Like I said it was 20 years + old so it gave me great service as I'm sure this new one will.

This is the THIRD (3rd) time posting this review. Let's hope that three times a charm! After one month ownership my wife has been 'baking up a storm!' The interior of this wall oven DEFINITELY requires purchase of new baking sheets. It is small! The cooling fan is loud and definitely requires some getting used to. Hopefully this oven lasts ten years like the last oven.

This oven was set in our new home in 1993. I soon found out most cookie sheets won't fit in this oven. Small pans & roasters only. I called it the "career girl oven"....for those who only planned on cooking tv dinners. Very challenging in baking cakes, cookies, roasts..etc.
Last night, for some reason, the oven door locked. After trying to work out getting the "lock" off, the door finally was able to be opened, but the work "LOCK" keeps flashing. The oven doesn't work, even after resetting, pulling the plug...nothing.
